The House investigative committee has made public a batch of around 70 images secured from the holdings of deceased found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third disclosure from a tranche of over 95,000 photographs the panel has obtained from Epstein's estate. It features photographs of passages from the novel Lolita written across a woman's body, and obscured images of women's international passports.

This disclosure comes mere hours before the 19 December deadline for the DOJ to release each documents associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs pose additional questions about what exactly the Department of Justice has in its possession," stated the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Disclosed

A number of the images made public on Thursday depict Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates standing beside a woman whose face is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a workstation facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest wealthy, influential men to be pictured in Epstein estate photographs released by the House Oversight Committee - formerly disclosed pictures also show US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as director Woody Allen, previous US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Being pictured in the images is not indication of any misconduct, and many of the pictured individuals have asserted they were never implicated in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a press release released with the image release, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide context or timeframes for the images.

"Photographs were picked to offer the American people with clarity into a representative sample of the images received from the property, and to give perspectives into Epstein's network and his exceptionally disturbing behavior," the release states.

The disclosure also features a number of photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita written in ink across different parts of a woman's body, like her upper body, lower extremity, hip, and spine. Lolita tells the story of a minor who was groomed by a adult literature professor.

One excerpt from the book scrawled across a woman's torso states, "Lolita's name: the end of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a series of photographs of female identification and official papers from countries worldwide, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the information on the IDs, including identities and birth dates, is redacted but the committee stated in a statement that the passports are associated with "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".

A further photograph shows Epstein seated at a workstation in close proximity in the company of three individuals whose features have been redacted - one individual has her palm on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and another individual is crouching to examine a nearby computer. Epstein seems to be aiding the third individual attach a bracelet.

Another photo disclosed is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unnamed person who states they have been sent "several females" and are asking for "$1000 per female".

Photo Release Comes Ahead of DOJ Due Date

The body has a vast number of images in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "at once graphic and everyday," its statement on recently explained.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the property of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on accusations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein estate's representatives provided to the committee are separate from what is commonly termed "the Epstein documents". That material are records in the justice department's control associated with its independent inquiry into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President enacted in November, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to publish its files. The extent of the contents included in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's expected that a large amount of the content will be heavily censored, comparable to Congressional releases
