Former Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a former physician has been charged with committing sexual assaults involving 38 individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior CPS official stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Investigation
The charges come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
