Ukraine has announced the commencement of large-scale manufacturing for an innovative domestically developed defensive UAV to strengthen its air defences. Three initial producers have started manufacturing, with an additional eleven getting ready to set up assembly lines, the defence ministry stated on Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Tested in Combat Conditions

The drones utilize a nationally created technology called “Octopus” engineered to intercept Shahed drones. This technology underwent testing in actual battle and proved successful “during nighttime, under jamming and at low altitudes,” officials stated. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of producing as many as 1,000 defensive drones each day.

Latest Assault on the Capital Described as Calculated

The Ukrainian president characterized Moscow's most recent assault on Ukraine as “intentional, premeditated and wicked” after six individuals were killed and dozens injured in a series of nocturnal attacks across Kyiv.
